Fact Check: Caralisa Monteiro did Not Tweet Anti-Hindu, Hindu Mukt Bharat Statement

On Saturday, Feb 6, the screengrab of a tweet that was claimed to be posted by singer Caralisa Monteiro went viral on social media. The tweet read, “Every time a Hindu is killed, I get orgasmic pleasure. Modi might dream Congress Mukht Bharat, but we will get Hindu Mukt India soon. Amen.”

Our fact check team went through the tweet history of her handle and web archives and could not find any such tweet. A reverse image search on the screengrab didn’t reveal any sources and we reached out to Caralisa for clarification.

Carlisa replied that this is a fake tweet and was not tweeted by her.

She also replied to the troller who quoted her by clarifying that this is a fake tweet and a case has been filed against the tweet

She later tweeted details of the online complaint filed by her with the Greater Mumbai Police

Hence, it can be concluded that the screengrab shared as a tweet by Caralisa Monteiro is fake.
